Tanzania Health Promotion Support (THPS) has announced a strategic partnership with Haskè Ventures Partners Inc., a leading venture capital firm focused on transforming Africa’s start-up landscape. This collaboration aims to enhance school health programs by developing policies that promote student well-being and long-term community health, ultimately contributing to a healthier and more prosperous Africa.
Haskè Ventures, co-founded by renowned entrepreneur Madji Sock, supports innovative businesses in Africa by bridging the gap between the idea stage and sustainable growth. Recently featured on CNN, Madji Sock highlighted the firm’s impact in Francophone Africa, emphasizing its mission to foster economic development through entrepreneurship.
By combining TPHS’s expertise in healthcare and policy advocacy with Haskè Ventures’ business acumen, this partnership will address key school health priorities such as nutrition, disease prevention, mental health, hygiene, and access to essential healthcare services. Strengthening school health policies ensures that students have the support they need to thrive academically and physically, laying the foundation for a healthier future.
“This partnership represents a powerful synergy between health and innovation,” said Dr Redempta Mbatia, Executive Director at THPS. “Together, we will work to strengthen school health programs, ensuring better access to healthcare for students in Tanzania and across the African continent.”
Through this collaboration, THPS and Haskè Ventures aim to establish new standards for health promotion in schools, leveraging policy reforms and innovative funding strategies to create sustainable, impactful change.
